What’s in the Picture?
Artist Hushrooom’s depiction of the Queen of Piece herself: Malenia, Blade of Miquella. Many bosses have smeared Dan up and down the pavement, often simultaneously, but Malenia was a special challenge that took months to accomplish.
What Does the Quote Mean?
Malenia is a notoriously difficult boss fight in the popular Soulsbourne game Elden Ring. The fight is renowned for its difficulty and was a feared chokepoint in Dan’s play through of the game. And a chokepoint it really was, as it took Dan just shy of 3000 attempts at the fight to finally beat her. To this day, Malenia’s undefeated streak of 2,998 attempts is unrivaled in terms of video game bosses Dan has faced.
What’s Hidden in the Full Art?
The Full Art variant of the card pans out to reveal Malenia resting on a cat-like helmet with a blade sticking through it. The cat helmet is the helmet worn by Cerso Yeet, Dan’s character in the Elden Ring playthrough. Under the helmet is the number “2998" written in what appears to be Cerso’s blood.
