Zeitgeist Addendum
Some of you may already heard about the controversial Zeitgeist. It’s a documentary that talks about religion, the September 11 attacks (a little of Loose Change) and a little about the world economy and world leaders kind of thing. I saw it about 2/3 years ago, and didn’t like it much. I didn’t like it because I usually don’t like sensationalist conspiracy theories, especially the ones that show “facts” that are not that easy, to a guy like me, to search for and see them by himself. (well, isn’t every conspiracy theory like this?)
So when Zeitgeist Addendum came out (the second part of Zeitgeist) I didn’t want to spend two hours of my life seeing it; until yesterday.
I was skeptic (for the reasons I mentioned up there), but as the documentary progressed, things started getting a little less conspiratorial and much more interesting.
This second part digs deeper into the topic of world economy and globalization (that sometimes was hard to catch up), talks about economy hitmans and corruption, and about the actual hot topic of sustainability and humanity’s moral. This last one based on the utopian Venus Project of Jacque Fresco.
I still don’t know what “facts” are real or false, I don’t know if Venus Project is possible, I don’t know enough. I just know that this documentary made me think a lot about our society (in every way) and sometimes even feel bad about it, and because of that, I recommend it to every free thinking person on this planet.
