In the small town of South Lyon, Michigan, this building is known as the South Lyon Hotel; a very popular restaurant. It was first built in 1884 as one of the two hotels in South Lyon. It is rumored that the basement is haunted because it was built on an old cemetery. The bodies were moved before the hotel was built, but there was a fire in 1977 that resulted in casualties. The building is now a restaurant, but was just reopened November 8, 2017 after a fire that ruined the original 150 year old building.

When the building became a restaurant, it used the original framing of the place. Inside the building, there were a lot of old decorations from South Lyon when it was first built. Now the inside and outside of the building is very different from what most of South Lyon residents remember it being for so long. After a fire starting in the second floor office at 2am, most of the original pieces of the hotel were unable to be reused. The fire destroyed the entire second floor and most of the roof.

While the current building is no longer the historical place it used to be, it is a very popular restaurant and a regular place for South Lyon residents to go. Because it used the original framing, it used to be wooden inside, but now it is a modern restaurant.
