On May 4, 2017 — widely known as Star Wars Day — Star Wars costuming groups Garrison Titan and Alpha Base joined the Seattle Mariners for an evening of Star Wars themed celebration. Attendees received free plastic lightsabers. Costumed characters were stationed around Safeco Field and posed for pictures with fans. And, as an added bonus, the Mariners defeated the Los Angeles Angels 11–3.
