The DAO Labs Community, a language chat groups Snapshot
Hi, I´m Alexis Trujillo, DAO Labs LATAM region and English chat Admin. Just wanted to deliver a quick note about our language chats to all of our members.
We are becoming a very big community. Attention to all of this active community requires dedication, patience, a big deal of knowledge about Social Mining, DAOVERSE and, of course, commitment to our social values. To address all of the community members in their mother language is a natural step.
From the very beginning of this journey, we wanted to establish a strong global community in our different channels and open language communities after consolidation. Language can´t be stuck into gentilic terms. A common way to speak and act among people with the same vision is necessary.
I think we reached that goal long before planned.
Active communities such as the Pinoy, with some 150 members whose half are almost always online, sharing their experience or just hanging out, make information easier to explain and organize things as a true task force.
In their inner chat, the Pinoy Social Miners gathered to point out a leader who would represent them and eventually bridge our efforts in getting better content translations and task validators for Tagalog language. Sicillian (his Telegram username) was appointed by his community and we welcomed the decision as this Social Miner is a great example of skills, knowledge and community spirit.
And not just him: Many others in that community could make yourself surrounded -in a good way- by multiple kind Administrators, like Amara09 or bossmadam. It is always a great fun time to catch up with that Social Mining crowd.
A similar initiative had the DAO Labs African community. There, Engr_Samest and Akinde5 (again, Telegram usernames) are rallying a substantial group and already have organized AMAs -one of them with me, by the way- and they keep making this group bigger by the day.
And other communities are popping out: the DAO Labs Spanish channel -my mother language region- is not as big as I desire but great social miners share their experience in that space. The Indonesian chat, with Albet and Ray69 at full time attention, has even more activity, and for the Turkish channel, we are preparing a great opening with a great Social Miner from our other platforms, AvalancheCombat, to organize this massive community.
Other language regions are coming in due time. A Hindi channel is a top priority for us, but this is a work in progress. As for German and French, that´s coming, too, as we are reviewing some candidates to administrate and bring information to those language groups.
We are still building our language communities to better fulfil their particular necessities and get advantage of their own strengths and skills. We´ll scout and appoint the very best among our global community to rally the language groups.
And we need every one of the Social Miners to search for those true community leaders.
