This is a fox looking smart. You got it?

Making The Online Data Visible

While the offline retail industry use intensively market-intelligence, there is no transaction-based market data available for the online retail industry (brands, retailers, or anyone interested in filtering noise from signal, like… ourselves). And as ecommerce is gaining a bigger and bigger share of the total retail revenue, managers are starting to manage their products portfolio almost in blind. A pity, isn’t it?

That’s where come Foxintelligence. They are building a product to provide the best market-intelligence for online purchases. When you know that Nielsen are making $6.172B in revenue, you can infer that the opportunity is quite interesting.

In the offline world, transactions records are acquired by companies like Nielsen directly from the retailers. That’s what they based their market intelligence on. But in the online world, the market practice is totally different. Retailers do not share their data.

What we do at Foxintelligence is inventing a new way to get access to the transaction records. Our strategy is to retrieve it from millions of anonymized e-receipts that consumers allow us to get access to in their email inbox. The reason why users would give us access to their inbox relies in two key elements : first we protect their privacy 100% and more importantly we offer them 2 great apps that make their inbox more intelligent.” Edouard Nattée, founder & CEO of Foxintelligence

The first app is Misterfox: a free application that helps people save time and money, offering them the automatic handling of their compensation in case of travel delays (train, flights, taxi/uber, bus), managing already more than 700k bookings. Available at www.misterfox.co.

The second app is Cleanfox: a free application that helps you clean your email inbox. Each email generates 10g of CO2 per year. Cleaning your mailbox is the easiest way to improve your carbon footprint. 30 millions of emails have already been cleaned by Cleanfox users. Available at www.cleanfox.io.

Their long time vision? Creating a proactive one-stop-shop app helping online shoppers manage their complaints frictionless. A kind of universal customer service application. And a business intelligence company, with the full respect of the privacy of users. Isn’t that wonderful?
