Making a Rockstar Profile on Dara

This article is meant to get your Dara Profile looking great, so you too can shine along with our vibrant network of Entrepreneurs, Creators and Changemakers. Let’s start by uploading a photo of you that's clear and captures your best angle! Peek here to get tips on taking great selfies.

Next up are the basics: your Name and Username please. Think hard before picking a Dara Username — you can only change it twice! Your Username is your handle — something that your can use to share your contact details. Go ahead and tell people meet me at dara.network/yourusername. Here’s a short visual guide if you have trouble finding your Profile.

On Dara you can control who has access to your information and you. You can choose to make your Profile one of the following:

• Completely private.
• Viewable to only those that are on Communities with you.
• Approved Members of Dara’s Partner Communities.
• All Dara Members (approved or unapproved by Partners).
• Everyone on the www.

Go on, take the driver’s seat on your data privacy!

If you’re currently employed, go ahead and tell us where and what you do in the Organization and Role sections of your Profile.

Now, lets talk about Affiliations. If you're affiliated with Dara or one of her Partners, you’ll get a badge connecting you directly to the Partner that shows up in your profile. These are great and show that you are a whetted, credible and approved Member of a Partner’s Community. If you are affiliated to a Partner Organization, and have not been added in by them, go into their Affiliates page and press the Don't See Yourself ? button. Fill out the short form and we’ll do the rest!

Up next we have the About section. Here’s where we get to know you a little better. Go ahead and tell us what you're preferred pronouns are, and all about what you do. Try and cover all the important details that someone might want to know if they’re looking to collaborate.

There's a Video option here. Record a short clip telling people about you and your work. It helps to keep this under a minute, authentic and natural. Good lighting and a quiet setting helps too!

Go ahead and talk about your Interests in the next section. This really helps make connections with others across practices.

The Projects section is a really valuable space to share work-in-progress, as well as debuting work. Think of it as a portfolio space that is shareable, just like your Profile, either with everyone on Dara, on the www or just specific Communities that you choose. Finally, let people know where in the world you are in the Country and City sections, and how they can access you outside Dara in the Website, Twitter and Instagram sections.
