How to Send a Video on Dara

Hi there! This is part of a series of tips from us at Dara’s team, meant to make your experience on Dara a seamless one. Today, let’s talk about how you can send a video on Dara.

The video feature is a critical part of Dara’s asynchronous chat, and we wholeheartedly encourage you to use it to make you messages more personal.

Sending videos on Dara is easy. All you need to do is go to any chat you are a part of from the Chat button on the bottom of the screen, tap on the video recorder button on the bottom-right to bring up a preview of the video you’re about to record, and press that button again to begin recording. Here’s a step-by-step guide in case you have any doubts.

Remember: when you’re previewing your video, you can press the reverse button to switch the direction of your phone cameras.

When you’re ready to send your video, press the button on the bottom-right that has a paper airplane on it to do so. You can also press the Retake button on the bottom-left of the screen, if you want to have another go at it. We recommend you get the best lighting possible!

Dara loves it when you keep your videos under a minute. You can always send multiple video messages over chat.
