New Partner Highlights

At Dara, we’re thoughtfully expanding our networks with those who share our ethos of building community and promoting the arts. Therefore, it makes us incredibly happy to welcome the highly energetic folks at Chennai Photo Biennale Foundation as our newest partner. We wish them a warm onboarding and look forward to supporting our new collaborations.

The Chennai Photo Biennale Foundation has dynamically changed the way photography and lens-based practices are perceived and valued in the region. On the 21st of August 2022, the CPB Learning Lab hosted an Analog Photo Meetup, also initiating a growing community of Alt & Analogue Photographers in India. We are delighted to be their community platform!

Partner Practices and Events

India/ UK Together 2022, Season of Culture

Celebrating the vibrant cultural bond between two remarkable countries!

‘India/ UK Together 2022, Season of Culture’, is a landmark programme by our Partner British Council, that marks India-UK connections, especially in light of India’s 75th Anniversary. It is driven by three core principles: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

The British Council in Delhi organized an event that took place in the evening of 7th June 2022, meant to present a snapshot of all the exciting work that they are going to facilitate during the Season of Culture.

The evening was packed with immersive experiences and artistic collaborations between India and the UK, and featured exciting work from organizations across oceans. Dara is thrilled to have had BeFantastic present her RadBots at the event.

Chai Time at Jaaga!

Every other Friday, our partners at Jaaga are hosting cozy chai get-togethers to welcome back Jaaga’s amazing alumni community as well as new people to their lively space. Dara is happy to be a part of and support these fun gatherings. If you’re looking to connect with other entrepreneurs, creators, learners, and networks, this is the place to be!

On July 1st, Chai Time was followed by the Future Fantastic huddle, co-organized with BeFantastic and Jaaga. Here’s a quick look on our Instagram from the eventful evening!

Chai with MRY — Aarthi Parthasarathy & Anita Balachandran

Chai with MRY engages MRY.network members from all over the world! At Dara, we are hosting monthly virtual meetings where community members take turns on leading an open conversation around various creative & well-being practices. These intimate offerings and chat happen on the last Wednesday of every month.

On the 29th June 2022, Aarthi Parthasarthy shared their practice and insights on “The Power of Graphic Novels, Illustration and Animation” taking all in attendance on a nostalgic journey through comic and cartoon history.
