Hello! This article is part of a series about a radical experiment we have undertaken in modern collectivism and responsible crypto–the RadBots!

Today, we’d like to tell you a little more about how the fantastic theater, museum and literary professionals that worked on the RadBots project came together as a collective, and what their organizational style could mean for other creative groups in the age of blockchain. Let’s take a closer look at the RADAO!

If you’ve read the previous article in this series, you’ll know that the RADAO is a Proof of Stake blockchain hosted-DAO, formed by the RadBot artists, that has resolved to pool 30% of the proceeds from the Bots’ NFT sales in order to fund the under-represented communities our AI-powered RadBots hope to serve.

The DAO or Decentralized Autonomous Organization is one among the many exciting possibilities made available by blockchain technology. At its core, the DAO as an organizational framework seeks to revolutionize the niches of the cryptoverse by imagining a paradigm where maintaining constant trust needn’t be a key element of mutual cooperation. Instead, it guarantees transparency and accountability by using digital code to create pre-configured and immutable parameters.

The RadBot artists began their collective through extensive debate on certain core values meant to guide the RADAO. These include, but are not limited to:

  • an ongoing commitment to highlighting hidden and obscured figures from history, fiction and their own lived experiences,
  • a collective push towards creating an ecosystem that leverages technology and creative practices to amplify marginalized voices,
  • …and an enduring belief that TechArt can enable creators to transcend the parochialisms of our time.

In creating the RADAO, the RadBot artists have joined a number of future-forward groups that are rethinking the ways in which folx across sectors collectivize.

Dara’s RadBots were created with the generous support of Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai and BeFantastic, who are among our prestigious Partner network. Tezos India is also helping us by keeping the RadBots on the greener side of crypto.

Our Bots are being dropped here on Rarible, and you can find out more about them here. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@dara.network if you have any questions. You can also directly message Dara’s team here, on the Dara app.
