What leverage really means
For my “fun time” I enjoy putzing around YouTube — it’s my happy place.
I recently watched one of Ali Abdaal’s life update videos.
I’ve been watching his videos for years (fun fact: back in June I had the opportunity to meet with him in person).
Anyways, he talked about this constant balance between:
Wanting more vs. having enough
And that really struck a cord with me.
My partner calls it a pendulum with me sometimes.
There are times where I want to go full steam ahead and say “fuck it, I’m all in.”
And then there are times where I’m in full “don’t open my laptop for 7 days” mode.
It’s a balancing act.
But this past year has taught me that it’s important,
Scratch that,
Critical:
That I/you/us build a business that allows for both.
That profits “enough.”
But also allows you the opportunity to create more.
And that’s why I’m a big believer in creating layering + set it forget it strategies…together.
