ACTION2015 — AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
What the campaign is about
At the dawn of the new millennium ,the United Nations General Assembly drafted the Millennium Declaration ,setting for the fisrt time both officially the concept of collective responsibility,the need for a collective consciousness for the responsibility of each of us, and everyone together towards the future of the planet and the right of all people to live in dignity ,justice and equality ,the right to live free from all kinds of slavery such as hunger ,poverty,social exclusion, illiteracy and illness. Already since 2013 have begun processes to determine the next development goals ,which will be invited to adopt the Member States and at the same time to implement from 2015 to 2030.This process was participatory and people from all over the world were invited regardless of age,gender,education,social status,ethnicity and profession
The main objectives in 2030 are :
1. Elimination of all forms of poverty everywhere.
2. The elimination of hunger,ensuring food security, improved nutrition and the promotion of sustainable agriculture .
3. To ensure prosperity and promoting prosperity for all in all ages.
4. To ensure universal and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
5. Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls
Who we are
We are a team of students of Panteion University, in the Advertising and Public Relations Lab.. and like Martin Luther King, we have a dream: We want to spread the word and raise awareness about the Action15 Project, for the Sustainable Development Goals! These are 17 goals, set from the United Nations that concern social, financial and enviromental issues, and are to be achieved by 2030! We’ve been doing a pretty good job in achieving them so far, however more awareness must be raised and more people should find out about these goals, so that we get more actively involved altogether! We are Gus Aspiotis, Helena Apodiakou, Alexandra Papadopoulou, Fisorela Perisnaka.
What can I do to help?
Our target group is young people that have the dream to make the planet a better place. It’s down to us!
