A 30 year-old Syrian man.

A Cameroonian woman, mother of 3 children.

A 15 year-old boy from Afghanistan.

A European citizen.

What is the link?

The war in Syria creates massive floods of refugees. The climate change affects the everyday life of the inhabitants in Africa who search for a more favorable environment. The bombings and shootings in Middle East push people beyond their borders to protect themselves and families. Still? Can’t you see the link?

Europe is our common home. And it is not just Europe…

Article 3. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person. http://www.un.org/en/universal-declaration-human-rights/

This planet is our common home and we are all supposed to share equal rights, yet these numbers concern only the so called “third world”:

  • 88% of HIV and AIDS
  • 80% of major conflicts
  • 78% of the refugees

But, what does “third world?” mean anyway?

Let’s talk with numbers: 82% of the world population. You read right! This so called “underdeveloped” people constitute the vast majority of Earth’s population.

We have come to a point that we can no longer afford living under the false perception of superiority. We have come to the point where the new generations need to be educated and be active towards the development issues. It is not just another boring topic. It is our future! Please join the cause #action2015 and make yourselves part of the planet you want to live in.

Talking about numbers, poverty facts:

To conclude, and since it was the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s birthday few days ago, I quote his precious words:

Martin Luther King

“ Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”.
