Hello everyone! We are a six-member team(Elisavet Papantoniou, Edlira Osmena, Ilya Tranoudi, Konstantina Nikolatou, Aggeliki Karampela and me) named ShowMeHealth. From the list of seventeen Sustainable Development Goals, we chose the third one, “Health and Well-Being”. As students, we can understand the struggles of choosing healthy eating habits. In a society where fast food is the easiest choice, we have found a convenient way to help students improve their diet when they are outside. We focus on the center of Athens.

Αfter Aggeliki Karampela made clear our target, we made a question paper and took interviews from different kinds of people in order to categorise our users’ prefers and opinions about junk food and healthy eating!

the first question was if they lived alone and 68% answered no.

After that, we asked about preparing their own meals. 59,8% of people answered sometimes and 23,5% answerd yes. Also,49,6 of people eat junk food once a week. Now, the interesting part in that,is that most people sometimes try to choose junk food with a healthy twist like side- salad, pizza with vegetables!

Even though our project has to do with eating healthy keeping the taste of our favorite foods, we found it interesting to ask people about exercising.

Various answers we took about that part.
It appears that 63% of people we asked has time to exercise but only 22% exercises more than 3 times a week and of course, most of the people have to pay for their exercise.

Taking insights and opinions directly from everyday people was an authentic and really on of a kind experience!

We are very satisfied about the final content and result of our project, as we learned how to work cooperatively. For that we want especially to thank our teacher Betty Tsakarestou for her goodness and precious help throughout the Dare to challenge lab! Our goal was to help a specific group of people improve their lifestyle and we hope we did. Stay tuned to see what’s next on Edlira Osmena’s article!
