These two weeks were quite critical for RefVoice project. Everything was organized and thoroughly planned and our refugee team had a first sample of photographs ready to be uploaded. Then their social worker called to inform us that we can not work with Rafi, Abbas and Hamedullah without asking her permition. Of course we apologized and also sent an e-mail to her describing our project, but she hasn’t replied. So it seems we need to change a team.

The reason we are writing about our difficulties is simple. One of our basic values is honesty in information. It wouldn’t be right for the philosophy of RefVoice to keep a project-journal including only the successful moments. Besides, which project doesn’t have ups and downs? The point is how you deal with difficulties that come up. We decided to confront this “down-moment” with and announcement to search for a new team:

Nasim Lomani who works in City Plaza and in Haunt of Immigrants and Refugees said that he finds our project very useful for modern society. He also gave us permition to post this announcement in both refugee shelters. Moreover, we are trying to get in touch with Melissa organization. Hopefully some people will respond.
