“It doesn’t matter how good a life you’ve led. There’ll still be people standing around the bed who will welcome the sad event.” That’s what Marcus Aurelius wrote when he was Emperor of Rome. For a person in power, it’s obvious to feel the heat of the enemies who’d rather have the power themselves.
