Children of Fate & destiny

The scarier the monsters, the more epic the story. That has been the life of my siblings and I since the passing of Dad twelve years ago. As the firstborn, I had to grow up fast. With no help from our dad’s relatives since he left us, we have picked up our broken pieces and turned them into a beautiful mosaic twelve years down the line.

In the last couple of years, I’ve witnessed my little sister and brother turn into young adults, and it’s still very surreal to me because I’ve seen them as babies in diapers. Feels like I just blinked, and all of a sudden, my young brother Ngosa just completed his master’s in energy engineering. Like that’s not enough, my little sister Tasha just completed high school and will soon pursue her degree in pharmacy.

As an older brother, I am in complete awe of how far we have come. Against all odds, like seeds, we have risen from the darkness to beautify this universe. I always tell my siblings that the sky is not the limit for us and that there is always another level we can get to because we are limitless. We were born to accomplish great things, and we have been put in this world to show people that mountains can be moved.

I will forever be proud of these two kids because they deserve the best this world has to offer and more. I truly believe we are children of fate and destiny, and our journey is indeed a testament to the boundless potential which resides within us. There has always been this voice in my head that just won’t allow me to be average and I hope my siblings hear it too in their heads because we all have a little voice that’s constantly chirping in the back of our minds. When it’s all said and done, I want our story to be one of resilience, determination, and the belief that we can achieve anything we set our minds to. Regardless of the cards you have been dealt, just play the hand. It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting — Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist.

Ngosa & Tasha (Victoria Falls, 2023)

Every challenge thus far has only made us stronger. Ngosa has always been the genius of the family and his journey into the realm of engineering isn’t a surprise at all. Though it may be a personal victory it is also a beacon of hope for those who dare to dream. He’s shown that with dedication, even the most daunting fields can be conquered. His achievement is a reminder that the energy we need to fuel our dreams lies within us, ready to be harnessed.

Tasha, with her passion for pharmacy, embodies the spirit of healing and hope. She is the most caring and loving person I know so her passion for pharmacy wasn’t really unexpected to me. I think her talents are well suited for the health sector. She is a symbol of how nurturing our inner light can illuminate the lives of countless others. Her future is definitely bright with unlimited possibilities, woven with threads of knowledge, empathy, and strength.

Our story is far from over. We have been forged in the fires of adversity and like a phoenix we still rise from the ashes. We stand tall together, ready to face whatever comes our way, knowing that we have already conquered so much. Together, we will continue to rise, to inspire, and to show the world that with love, perseverance, and faith in ourselves, there are no limits to what we can achieve because we are divinely guided.

To my little brother and sister whom I truly love, be strong in your knowing that you carry a divine spark in you. You are a child of the creator therefore you are the creator and due to divine reasons of course, may your light never be dimmed.

When my story is told, let it be known that I'd never fold. I took my time, I gave my soul.
