When it Pays to Have Your Head in the Clouds

Blue-Sky Thinking

As a full-time SEO Strategist, I’ve recently noticed more and more companies expressing keen interest in Blue-Sky Thinking as a success indicator. Color me intrigued. As a creative problem-solver, I pride myself in thinking of boxes that haven’t been conceived yet.

Dictionary.com, defines Blue-Sky thinking as “creative ideas that are not limited by current thinking or beliefs.” Its brainstorming possibilities/probabilities without being restrained by what you have accomplished or capable of accomplishing or anything else that may limit you in any way in achieving the optimal solution.

Here’s why the Blue-Sky approach to problem-solving is a beneficial approach to elevate business innovation.

Limitless Possibilities

When you analyze a problem from a Blue-Sky viewpoint, you don’t dismiss any solution, no matter how impractical it might seem and despite of the cost.

As a seasoned SEO Strategist working with creative clients, I recognize know how difficult it can be to generate innovative ideas with an ironclad deadline looming. The pressure can be paralyzing, and, since feeling stuck only intensifies stress, disrupting the flow of ideas.
