Sunshine

I found the sunshine
Dripping into a wine glass
Surrounded by Sycamores

She stroked my legs
Tickling like a trusted lover
Touching
A pink trail of heat

She looks down on me
Tall and larger than life
She doesn’t judge
She doesn’t commit
A passing fling in the dust
Between the stars

She shimmers and floats
Taking me with her
The sting
Lingering too long
She beams on regardless

A playful mistress indeed
