Elon Musk once said that Engineering is the closest thing to magic that exists in the real world. Well yes, who would have thought 20 years ago, that we would be having Robots teaching themselves to handle the physical world without human help. Who would have thought about having an artificial assistant for almost every work we do in our day-to-day lives. We now have quantum computers which can solve problems of any size. Artificial Intelligence is making the impossible possible. Life has become easier after AI came into existence. But like as we say, everything has its pros and cons, AI has the most horrifying dark side.

Artificial Intelligence is the buzziest trend that is going on these days, but we should notice that AI is taking over almost every field. Virtual bots have replaced customer care jobs. Robots have taken over the jobs of factory workers, drivers, vendors, and also small-scale developers. Drones started to deliver goods. That was the first phase of AI taking over. The next phase includes replacing doctors, teachers, journalists, and even babysitters. If this continues then Artificial Intelligence would be dominating other forms of intelligence.

Companies will definitely go for a one-time investment in an artificial machine instead of paying monthly salaries to the employees who does the exact same work. AI will lead to an incredible economic growth as it has increasing productivity and trade opportunities. But at the same time, AI will be consuming job opportunities for humans. The rich will remain rich, the poor will remain poor but the middle class will become poor as their jobs will be replaced by AI. More than half of the world is middle class and sooner or later, there will be severe job scarcity due to AI taking over.

The end of natural life is when the Governments bring amendments in favor of certain AI technologies. So far we can see the signs of the government’s willingness to do so as AI has a higher potential to increase GDP.

In conclusion, I would like to say that there is a severe need to bring strict rules and regulations to ensure future AI remain under human control.
