Things you must do if or when the grid fails
I’ve never thought much about preparing for a doomsday event aside from bending over and kissing my ass goodby. I’m willing to bet there are a shit ton of people on this platform and all over the world who might be of the same accord.
As a freelancer, I have the opportunity to write content on several subjects. Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of work for one particular client about survival preparedness, supplies to stock, and things one needs to survive a catastrophic event.
It got me thinking long and hard about my state of preparedness. To put it mildly, I suck at it. I don’t have any stores of potable water and shelves stocked with ready-to-eat food. I don’t have a portable generator and sufficient fuel to run it.
In essence, I don’t have jack.
After all these survival preparedness articles I’ve been researching and writing, I realize that if the apocalypse ever happens, I’ll be one of the first lights that dim and goes out. I think it’s safe to say there will be many folks on this planet of ours who will more than likely join me.
