Some things you should know if you’re a new Warcraft player

So you want to play World of Warcraft, huh? That’s great! Welcome! But don’t expect to be greeted warmly in game. The majority of players either ignore new players or are actively annoyed by them. There are some of us left that aren’t full of salt though so don’t let the haters deter you from playing!

If you’re a new player to World of Warcraft, things might seem overwhelming. I’ve been playing since 2006 and when I first started I was terrible. I couldn’t read the map so was constantly lost, didn’t understand my chosen class, and didn’t realize you were supposed to pick up and complete quests. I was an absolute scrub. I consider myself a casual pro World of Warcraft player. I don’t raid beyond the Looking For Raid feature, I love world PVP and battlegrounds, questing is fun for me, and I’m an altoholic (I have almost the max amount of characters you can have on one account). I also spend a lot of time collecting mounts, vanity pets, and transmog armor sets.

Despite not being hardcore, I’ve played the game quite a bit. I’ve racked up 317+ days played on my main character alone, so I’d like to think I know what there is to know about the game, especially when it comes to…
