3 Deadly Sins?

The more I discover about this eternal being name Yahweh, the more I realize that God is intensely focused upon my life (as well as every individual who exists upon this planet).

God doesn’t want me to settle for a subpar imitation any more than a world class chef wouldn’t want his customers to settle eating their pasta with margarine instead of butter.

Which brings me to these verses:

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (Apostle John, John 2:15–16)

Note: Emphasis mine.”

I’ve noticed that when my passion for music (much of it sensual) is at an all time high, my desire for God is almost nonexistent.

Songs upon my iPhone that encourage me a to fulfill a sexual desire (lust), to acquire wealth and items for the sake of status (greed), or to exalt myself at every opportunity (arrogance).

All the while masquerading as love, ambition and self confidence.

So it looks like I have some iCleaning to do.

“And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (Apostle John, 1 John 2:17)”

Selah…
