Judgement Begins With…Me‽

It’s easy to condemn society around me, especially glimpsing upon all of the corruption within politics, finance, or even other churches as (the common saying goes) “going to hell in a hand basket!”

But before I can use God’s measuring stick against the wickedness of the world, I first need to apply it to myself.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (1 Peter 4:17–18)

God is a God of Justice & Truth but before the Almighty goes applying his standard against those breaking divine decrees outside of the church, Christ will first chastise those within the house of God.

Which brings again the question: How am I living up to the standard God has placed in my life‽

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. (Jesus Christ, Matthew 7:1–2)

Selah…
