What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger‽

Just finished reading the second chapter to AntiFragile which surpassed the first chapter (the latter which is more or less a weak introduction) which provided some enlightening wisdom.

  • Humans gain strength through stress
  • The fragile attempt to control reputations while the AntiFragile eschew to be controlled by their reputation (i.e. they don’t care)
  • Redundancy is AntiFragile while dependency is dangerous

The last part was partially emphasized in chapter one (& is something I’m trying to integrate within my life).

As far as gaining strength through stress, this part is true. I’m personally at my best when more is on the line, so perhaps it’s time I risk a little more (calculated risks as opposed to the foolish ones) in order to see more pain & ultimately glory‽
