It was a beautiful morning and I had been keen to get back in the water after about a week without surfing due to heavy rains. While the weather was nice, a combination of small surf, a high, rising tide, and morning chill made for less-than-optimal surf conditions. Though some of the waves looked like they had decent shape, the high tide and small surf made it hard to catch much.
