PEOPLE OF DASH: Boxmining, Dash Force China
Michael Gu, a writer for Dash Force China goes by the name, Boxmining on his YouTube channel. I first met Michael in the Dash Nation slack and then ran into his videos on Steemit.com. He’s a really affable, nice guy. He took some time to answer questions about his involvement with Dash.
Question: How and when did you find out about Dash?
A: I found out about DASH in late 2016 when I got back into cryptocurrencies. My biggest regret was not finding about it sooner — Mt Gox put me off crypto for a while.
Q: What’s your biggest contribution to Dash? Are you a masternode owner?
A: I’m not an MM owner — when I found out about DASH it was too expensive for me to buy a masternode. My main contribution is the DASH Force China project — I’ve been making education videos about DASH in Chinese!
Q: What’s different about Dash, compared to other coins?
A: Without Evolution, the biggest difference about DASH is the DASH DAO. The ability to create community projects is pivotal in pushing for mass adoption and building the community.
Q: How is Dash Nation unique in the crypto-sphere?
A: DASH nation is building an amazing community — I have not seen a community that is as vocal or as passionate.
Q: Do you have any predictions about how Dash Evolution will change the game?
A: Evolution is massive and I’ve been following the updates daily. With Evolution, Evan is bringing out the big guns — laying down the foundation for real mass adoption
Q: What are the pros and cons of Dash?
A: The biggest advantage of DASH is that it is very certain of its direction. This means allowing for massive transaction volumes and ease of use. One disadvantage of DASH is that sometimes the community can get too passionate and engage in drama with other communities. Sometimes when I talk about DASH I get immediate criticism and negative propaganda. I would like to say that in these situations I respect their opinions and alternative viewpoints, it’s the only way to bridge communities.
