Life as a Digital Nomad Staying with Dash Living
I moved to Hong Kong around six years ago, and I’ve been renting since I moved here. My lease was coming to an end in May, and if you’ve lived in Hong Kong long enough, you’ll know moving is stressful. Finding a new place can be tough — and that’s only half the battle!
That’s why Dash Living came to mind. They offer three types of products: Dash Suites, Dash Coliving and Dash Hotel. They focus on serviced living, meaning I don’t need to worry about moving around, setting up utilities, landlords, and agent fees.
The question arises: Which product line is the right one?
Dash Suites
One of the big things I look for when it comes to moving apartments: could I get to work easily? I have a full-time job in Causeway Bay, and I have a busy schedule, so I didn’t want to worry about the commute. Thankfully, all the suites are in the city center and include housekeeping. I did a tour on a Wednesday, signed my contract and moved in on a Friday.
Monthly rental fees start from $13,000 for a Standard Studio, with a minimum length stay of one month. You’ll find everything you need for everyday life, from a cozy bed to a spacious wardrobe, to a fully equipped kitchen.

Dash Coliving
After a month at Dash Suites, I moved on to Dash Coliving. The space takes pride in community living, and I loved that aspect of it. Before my lease ended in May, I was living in a 300-square-foot studio in Sheung Wan, where I didn’t know anybody in the neighborhood. You end up sitting at home, and Netflix becomes your best friend. I missed meeting new faces. Here, the community is already built-in.
What I liked was the well-thought-out design for not just the ensuite rooms but also the common space and the rooftop. The common space is on the sixth floor, and it includes a kitchen, a table that can seat up to 8 people, and a lounge area with a couch and a big TV. Sometimes, when I needed to work from home, I worked down there. Also, I probably used the kitchen more than anyone else. While I don’t cook a lot, I like to bake, and it has an oven and a big prep space.

DASH HOTEL
The third stop was Dash Hotel. It may seem to be an odd decision, but for those who are asking, “Can you live in a hotel?” the answer is yes! Everything is under one roof, including a gym and laundrette. If you don’t have a lot of absolute needs like a kitchenette — give hotel living a try.
The hotel has an ideal location, located right next to the K11 shopping mall, a major shopping mall which has its own supermarket and plenty of food options. Need to cook? Dash Coliving is a 10-minute walk, and you can use their shared kitchen space.
The thing I’ve learned over the last few months — serviced living allows you to get the most out of city living. Living with Dash meant that I didn’t need to worry about cleaning or paying bills. Instead, I could focus on work, activities I enjoyed and the benefits of being a Dash member such as the free gym pass at V02.
