There is a lot that has to be considered when building a HIPAA compliant application. Everything from infrastructure selection, to staff policies and development practices needs to be accounted for. It can be overwhelming.

With changing regulations and security standards, developers don’t always have time to stay up to date with best practices. Building compliant services shouldn’t feel like reinventing the wheel.

Dash has built a HIPAA Compliance Checklist for application developers. Imagine that!

Developers are all about checklists and scrum boards (I would know. I brush my teeth and then mark it as done in Trello). That is why I am happy to announce, that Dash has built a simple checklist for HIPAA compliance, based on actionable protections that your team can implement.

Although every organization should read up on HIPAA and determine specific security needs, I sincerely hope that this resource can get your team thinking about compliance and on track to implement the basic protections required for HIPAA.

Feel free to download a copy of the our HIPAA Compliance Checklist.

HIPAA needs to be looked at from the Server-Side, the Administrative Side, and the Client-Side. There is no one-size-fits-all solution for HIPAA compliance, but with knowledge and the right tools, protections can be easily implemented.

Dash will be expanding on the concepts found in this checklist and continually posting more detailed information related to HIPAA and security protections. If you find our checklist useful, feel free to share l and follow us to receive more info.
