For the context I follow this roadmap :

Mathematics is the first topic to strengthen the foundation for learning to become an AI and data scientist. It starts with linear algebra, but before we delve into linear algebra, I want to start from the very basics, which is algebra itself, linear systems or linear equations.

Before diving in deeper, the question starts at what is it?

Definition

A linear system in mathematics refers to a collection of linear equations involving one or more variables. Each equation in the system is linear, meaning that the highest power of any variable is 1.

For Example

The equation

2x + 3y = 4

is considered linear because it satisfies the criteria for linearity. A linear equation is one in which the highest power of any variable is 1, and there are no products or divisions involving variables.

2x + 3y = 4, the variables x and y are raised to the first power (no exponents or higher powers), and they are only combined with addition or subtraction. There are no terms like xy or 1/x, which would make the equation non-linear.
