We Launch Machine Learning Project Review Program
Hello everyone,
I would like to introduce you a sub program of DaTalk called Machine Learning Project Review.
Let’s get into it :)
Machine Learning Project Review is an online and public session where your project gets reviewed primarily by Andreas Chandra and Partners as well as the community members who are experienced in developing and deploying machine learning models.
The story behind this is that we often see people who just started to learn data science and created a machine learning project, but missed important points such as proper documentation, code style, appropriate model evaluation (model diagnostic), parameter tuning, model limitations, deployment configuration, etc.
With that being said, this program helps you to improve your knowledge in building machine learning models.
On what indicators are the project getting reviewed?
- This project should be made by yourself, only you
- The project that you are proud of, it’s like everyone should see this
- Well documented including but not limited to README, model description, requirements.txt, etc
- Have interesting points such that your project stands out from most projects on the internet
- PyTorch implementation is preferred
What would the review look like?
- The review would be delivered online on the discussion forum.
- You will present your project in 5 minutes (further details on email)
- General feedback including but not limited to docs, approach for your project on what you could improve
- Code review / technical feedback in which parts of your code can be optimized or made easier to understand
- We may modify your code to test another hypothesis to get better results or suggest alternative approaches
- We may try to make a demo of your project using Flask or Streamlit. So, everyone can experience your incredible work
How would the assessment of the project to get reviewed look like?
- We only read the elevator pitch and what makes your project different from the others to the next stage
- After that, we read the project documentation to get the sense of what your project does. We will only spend 10 minutes to understand what you did and try to rerun your code. If there is an unclear documentation, no clear direction (how to run your code), we won’t proceed the review.
In order to do that, make sure your code is bug-free and flawless~
Schedule (Subject to change):
- This submission form would be open until the end of 2021
- The assessment may start in the mid of August
- Public session will be held on the first and third Friday nights, starting on September
