SAP HANA looks charming when you know something you don’t know. Especially when it comes to reset a HANA system (may be it is standalone or a cluster/scaleout). Believe me, this is super easy. You just need to be the database admin user or privileged user at OS level to reset the HANA DB with default objects in it. It works with HANA 1 and HANA2.

Problem statement

You’re a database admin handling SAP HANA database, may be a real admin or a novice just getting hands dirty with setting up SAP HANA database and finds difficult to reinstall if something is not ok with new build or existing one. Please note, the steps provided here doesn’t provide data guarantee, but a fresh HANA DB when you do the trick.
