I recently shared a post about browsers, comparing Google, Brave, and Firefox on whether they protect our online identity and personal data.

Thanks to a comment on that post, I learned about the PrivacyTests.org project and its creator, Arthur Edelstein.

PrivacyTests.org is an open-source project that measures and compares the privacy of major web browsers.

from privacytests.org

Each privacy test on the page examines whether the browser protects against a specific type of data leak, and the results are made public to help people in making an informed choice about which browser to use.

DARK WEB 101-

I first heard about Tor Browser with the concept of Dark Web.

Yes, the dark web is real, and Tor is the most preferred browser to access it because it prioritises user privacy and security.

As a browser developer, Arthur worked in Tor Project for more than 4 years, and he helped make Tor Browser the “most private browser in the world.”

Then he helped Mozilla upstream Tor privacy patches to Firefox.
