What is datacy?
We’ve always hated how broken the data market is — secretive, unnecessarily complicated and being controlled by and financially benefiting only a handful🤨. So, we’ve built datacy to even out the playing field and create a better way to access, use and bring consumer data to life.
- datacy allows people to collect, collate and earn 💰 from their data, almost effortlessly — whilst ensuring that they can exercise complete control over what data is collected and to whom it is sold.
- datacy enables businesses to source richer and more accurate consumer data, directly from the data creators and without engaging in dodgy practices or invading consumer privacy.
In future, we’re planning to let you do some other cool stuff 😎with your data, such as donating it to research initiatives and using it to learn more about your online habits.
Why should I use datacy?
Browsing habits, google searches, credit card transactions, shopping habits, comments, opinions, likes, and clicks. This is just a small selection of data you generate every time you go online, use a website or an app. Many internet companies follow every swipe of your mouse, collect your data and sell them to advertisers, whilst you, as the source of this data, don’t get any share of this value, other than free services(which amounts to scraps compared to the profits generated by data brokers and data-driven tech giants).
We don’t think that’s fair!
datacy has been designed to create a more considerate, less invasive, more secure and a more efficient way for individuals and companies to capture, access and use data.
For individuals, datacy will provide a way to collect their data and start gaining control over how it’s used and accessed. 💪
For businesses, datacy will provide an opportunity to obtain more accurate and robust data on user interests and behaviors - ethically obtained directly from users and sold with full user consent.
How are we different from other big data or analytics companies?
We’re fundamentally different because our entire tech is designed to give you maximum control of your data and protect your privacy.
We’re building our core systems from the ground up using 21st-century technology which includes next-generation security measures and our own Kubernetes-based microservices architecture — all designed to give you control, privacy, transparency, and trust. 🤓 Our application will also give you complete visibility 👀over what data is collected and what data is sold. You can download your data, choose what not to collect or remove any data from sale. You also get real-time updates on all data transactions — giving you complete transparency. We’ll never collect or sell any data unless users give us explicit permission to do so.😇
When can I try datacy?
Our philosophy has always been to focus on making something people want. To achieve that, we’ll be launching prototypes early to see how people react. We’re planning to release the first version of the prototype in the coming months 🚀. This version will have the most basic functionalities including the ability to collect and list your data for sale. During this process, we’ll use your experience and feedback to iterate and improve the platform further. Inevitably this means that the product won’t be 100% polished and bug-free.
