To better understand the entire range of possibilities that Dataeum provides, we are doing a series of Use Cases that are going to give a non-exhaustive set of examples, and here’s the the next one.

Firming up Franchises

Franchising is a popular model that make it easier for people to go into business. As a franchisee, you are getting into business with a head start. There are fewer things you need to worry about before you open to the public. For the Franchise owners it can be a costly exercise expanding into a new territory. Dataeum is a platform that can provide market research and monitoring of franchises while proving to be cost effective as well.

Let’s say an America Bagel franchise wants to learn more about the market in ten locations in the French capital, Paris. A Parisian Data collecting community, using the Dataeum app can be tasked with documenting existing bagel shops in the City. The data collectors who live in those ten identified areas in Paris, would be able to show pictures, menus, location and produce of other bagel shops. The data collectors could even verify if there is a space in their area that could be a new Bagel shop. The information would assist in making decisions about how to move forward by the Bagel franchise headquarters in America.

Maintaining a standard is important for brands, so an Italian luxury goods retailer for instance, would need to know that its Japanese shops are every bit as good as the Italian outlets. Data collators in Japan can be tasked to take images that verify that items are displayed properly in the shop, that the branding in the window display is the right message for the season, and even show if items are wrapped properly after they are bought. The platform is so versatile that a very busy artist can check if their artwork is displayed properly in a gallery… half way around the world through Dataeum.

At each stage, the gathering of data would be cost effective because the decentralized market place facilitates seamless transactions. The capture and verification of data, exchanges for XDT Tokens between capturers and acquirers of data. The blockchain based market place means transactions happen seamlessly without third parties. Once the authenticated and verified data is purchased, a transfer of XDT tokens is initiated immediately and the data capturer rewarded accordingly.

There is an added value stream in the existing data on the market place. Since the data is already verified and authenticated, it can be used as a historical reference to see the development of the franchises over time. Say 5 years later a Business Association decided to do a study of Franchises in France, they would be able to purchase the historical data on Dataeum. The relevant data capturers would be rewarded a second time when that data is purchased again by the Business Association. Win-Win-Win, everybody wins with Dataeum.
