How to analyze the results of DFS Light
Your video is processed and now the real work starts — how to analyze your data?
Take a look at the procedure step by step:
- Video upload and processing
Once your video is uploaded, we start the automated process of video analysis. The processing time depends on the length of the video, quality and resolution and also on your Plan (free vs. paid) and whether you have higher processing priority on your package or not. In general, you can receive the results of a 1-hour video within 2 hours. You will be notified by an email that your results are ready to be collected on your DFS Light account.
2. Download the analysis and the DFS Light Viewer SW
Once your video is processed, you will see the video in your DFS Light account among the “Finished Tasks”. You will be also notified by an email. From your account, you can download so-called TLGX file = a file containing all the extracted trajectories and other traffic data. This file can be opened in our software tool for post-processed data visualization and interpretation called DataFromSky LIGHT Viewer. A download link for installing the DFS LIGHT Viewer will be sent in the email with the results. You can also download it directly on the DFS Light website.
DataFromSky LIGHT Viewer is a desktop SW application, compatible with OS Windows 7 and higher, 64bit. The SW, unfortunately, does not run on MAC or Android yet — but we are working on it :)
3. Analyze the results of the analysis
Once you download the Light Viewer, installed it on your PC and unzip the files, you can open your processed analysis! Open the Viewer application (.exe), click on the menu “File” and choose “Open Tracking Log” and find your .tlgx file (it is recommended to have both the tlgx file and the original video in the same PC folder so that the system can load the path automatically). Now you have plenty of options on how to mine the most of the data — create counting gates, generate OD-matrix, export some reports and statistics, create heatmaps, analyze the trajectories, study the traffic flow, generate awesome visualization videos and snapshots and much more. For more information follow our User Guide on how to work with the Viewer.
