Stormwater Capture Master Plan (SCMP) Priority Infiltration Areas

This new layer is from the Stormwater Capture Master Plan published in 2015. LADWP, with input from the community, created the stormwater capture plan as part of its effort to increase the local water supply and reduce the dependence on expensive imported water for the City of Los Angeles.

Specifically, this layer divides the infiltration areas for groundwater recharge into High, Medium, and Low priority. The priorities are based on LADWP’s evaluation of the maximum stormwater capture potential of each existing project, and an analysis of the different options available.

We will continue to publish new datasets and analyses on this blog. Please comment here or on the dataset directly with feedback or findings!
