The Urban Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation just launched the 500 Cities Data Challenge and are looking for cross-sector project ideas that leverage data and digital tools to improve health outcomes using the 500 Cities Dataset which includes health-related data at the census tract level. They will be granting $1M to 10 winning projects. The first deadline for letters of interest/idea pitches is December 1st at 5pm EST.
We’re here to support. We encourage you to take advantage of the city’s open data from data.lacity.org and GeoHub to supplement your idea pitch. Reach out to mayor.opendata@lacity.org with your ideas and let us know how we can help your application shine!
