Imagine waking up in the morning and robot is ready to serve you bed tea, you got into the kitchen to see breakfast already served hot and pepping made by robots. You walk around the home and lights keep on switching because you have transformed your home into a smart one.

After getting ready, the smart cars would drive you to work while you enjoy the paper, because there is no need to control the steering (yes, the car will do it on its own!)These scenarios are very appealing but if you think practically, we are becoming a bit, right?

For instance, we could research answers for our “online” quiz within a few seconds from Google where it’d have taken our parents to skim through entire libraries in the past. Have we become lazy? Is our mind getting weaker? Are we able to enable deep thinking?

In this article, we are sharing information about how technology has made us lazy and what can be snarkily done to reduce the impacts. But hey, stop, before we start with the ways how technology has made us lazy, it’s crucial to acknowledge that technology has made our lives easy and comfortable.

The difficulties in information processing, transportation, and communication have been eased up. But with the increasing consumption, it has become integral to reflect on these innovations and how relief needs to be assigned to our minds and bodies (being active is essential for health!) So, let’s see how technology is impacting us!

Technology has really helped us “run the errands” in the most advanced way possible but it has reduced our ability to run our mind, work up the muscles and body. The trends of online shopping and delivery systems have enhanced which means people don’t need to step out of the home for chores. Be it products or services, goods, or gifts, everything can be established through internet and technological platforms.

There was a time when people would need to trek to their destination if they didn’t find the cab. If someone missed out on the train, they would spend hours at the station waiting for the next train to reach their destination or else, they would walk to another station.

However, with the implication of technology, Uber and Lyft have been introduced through which people can get themselves a ride with few clicks. Even more, there are self-driving cars but we have literally stopped strolling and going for a walk!

We all remember the days when we would go to Blockbuster or theatre to watch a new movie because, with modern and innovative technology, people can get their hands on the latest movies and TV shows while snuggling on the living room couch.

In other words, entertainment has become easily accessible through Netflix, Amazon Prime, and more. In terms of music, apps like iTunes and Spotify are readily available as well. Once you open the app, you will have access to unlimited entertainment options; be it movies or songs!

In contrast to eating, sleeping, and entertainment, earning money is essential to living up to the highest standards of living. Let’s go back in date and see how marketers had to pitch their business products and services in person but with modern technology standards, your business can take rounds around the world while you sit on the couch and market the products to millions of people.

Furthermore, people are running businesses from home and they have literally created workspaces at home. So, technology has eliminated the need to get up early in the morning, and get ready for the office and commuting there!

We all have been to the point where we took out the car for a road trip but got lost instead. You had to pull up and ask some strangers about the location and they pranked you to some dumpster. Well, technology has created GPS and Google Maps can take you to corners of the world. But with these apps, we have stopped using your mind to use the paper maps and working a way out of the location.

All these things are directing us to Get Fat Generation because we are doing everything and running every chore from the comfort of bed and couch. Even more, with the imposition of lockdown during to coronavirus, the public has been confined to the homes which have increased laziness.

The sleeping routines have been disturbed and remote working has got people working in their PJs which aren’t the most productive thing out there. So, with the following section, we are posing some tips through which we can get rid of laziness and adopt a more productive lifestyle!

10-minute Alarms

Staying at home can make you lazy which poses a negative impact on productivity. So, switch on the ten-minute alarms for completing a certain task and stick to it. In other words, this is sort of making a deal with yourself and involved in completing the task in confined time.

Set Some Easy Goals

The biggest issue is waking up at the right time early in the morning. So, this problem can be resolved by giving yourself a little challenge or goal, so you can get rid of procrastination and wakeup on time.

Exercising

You might have involved in workouts and gym sessions before the remote working or lockdown, but everything closed down and you stopped exercising. So, if you want to beat laziness, start exercising and put it on first priority after waking up. Besides, exercising will help you sweat out the laziness and prepare you for an energetic day.

Create a Productive Environment

Instead of working from home in case of remote working opportunities, it is better to join some co-working space or a public library. This is because working in an environment where everyone is being productive and working will help you enhance the working capabilities and meet the deadlines.
