Traditional machine learning theory divides the universe into supervised and unsupervised methods but the reality is a bit more complex. Semi-supervised learning is one of the machine learning(ML) methods that have become popular in the last few months. Companies such as Google have been advancing the tools and frameworks relevant for building semi-supervised learning applications and we are already seeing mainstream implementations of these methods.
