I had the incredible opportunity to participate in SREcon23 Americas, a premier conference that gathers industry-leading Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) professionals to share insights and best practices for enhancing SRE services. Organized by USENIX, The Advanced Computing Systems Association, this annual event took place in the picturesque locale of Santa Clara, CA, drawing participants from across the globe.

Exploring SREcon23 Americas Sessions:

The conference kicked off with captivating opening sessions, featuring presentations like “The Endgame of SRE” by Amy Tobey of Equinix and “SRE’s Pivotal Role in Government’s COVID-19 Pandemic Response” by Amy Quispe, Marc Alvidrez, and Rick Hawes from U.S. Digital Service. These sessions underscored SRE’s pivotal role within organizations, especially during critical moments.

Spanning three days, SREcon23 Americas hosted many engaging sessions delivered by accomplished speakers representing esteemed organizations deeply involved in SRE practices. Industry giants like J.P. Morgan Chase, LinkedIn, Morgan Stanley, Netflix, Bloomberg, DBS Bank, and Spotify were among the contributors, sharing their invaluable insights.

Additionally, SREcon shines a spotlight on research grants and the remarkable individuals who receive them.
