Following Successful $40M Token Sale, Blockchain-Based Data Marketplace is Recognized by World’s Largest Technical Professional Organization for the Advancement of Technology

NEW YORK, April 20, 2018 — Leading blockchain-based data exchange Datawallet today announced its selection for presentation at the 2018 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN), a prestigious industry conference focused on the field of neural networks, as well as its publication in the conference proceedings published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The paper, which was selected by IJCNN 2018 Technical Program Committee and Technical Chairs, is co-authored by Datawallet CEO and founder Serafin Lion Engel, Datawallet co-founder and CTO Daniel Hawthorne, and Alexander Norta.

Datawallet founder and CEO Serafin Lion Engel said, “We are absolutely honored to have our work acknowledged by such an esteemed organization as the IEEE. Datawallet was built on the belief that personal data should be owned solely by the people who create it, and it has been our mission to empower internet users to take back control of their data. This recognition validates the work we’ve done to date and is further proof of what we stand for: real substance, uncompromising quality, and the long-term vision of building a data ecosystem that gives ownership back to users.”

This news comes on the heels of Datwallet’s sold-out Token Sale which successfully raised $40M for the growth of development of its blockchain-based data marketplace. Datawallet creates a transparent and fair data exchange based upon expressive consent, empowering consumers to take back ownership of their personal data, and allowing for the mutually beneficial exchange of data between consenting parties.

The 2018 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN), which will take place July 8th through 13th, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is part of the IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence conference series and focuses on topics in the field of neural networks, from biological neural networks to artificial neural computation. With more than 423,000 members in over 160 countries, the IEEE is the the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
