Community Update #8
Team Token Lockup, Datawallet CEO to speak at Draper University, DXT added Cobinhood, Announcements only channel & More…
Dear Datawallet Community,
this week has been great for us in terms of team spirit and development — amidst the overall cryptomarket being in uproar. We had most of our team in the Berlin office where we also recorded our video Q&A, which we will share with you shortly. We’re super happy to show you some of the faces working on bringing data ownership to the masses.
Our tech team also made great strides on the backend — you can find some more details below. We’ve also locked 90% of team tokens via a public smart contract. Take a look at the rest of this week’s community update below:

Update on development
Last, but not least, we wanted to give you a brief update on what our tech team worked on the past few days. On the data engineering and sourcing front we are exploring a new way of ingesting basket data from Amazon. Our data engineers have completed the new schemas and are now working on the ETL. On the user app front, we have an iOS version waiting to push pending some legal paperwork. We have completed refactoring the user API to depend on pg (no more mongo!). We also made progress on the web-app; we completed the foundation, logic, and auth system this week. On the dx-Insights front we are at 90% on the API refactoring so that nearly all mongo dependencies are gone. More generally we are almost done unifying our services under AWS and have completed the last remaining bits of terraforming the infrastructure — VPC, subnets, API database are now “terraformified".

P.S. Before we forgot, Tim Draper also gave Datawallet a quick shoutout (1:12) in conversation with Legacy Documentarian Sharad Kharé. Take a look at the interesting interview below:
