Meet Josh!

A born and bred kiwi software developer with a broad range of experience from web frontend, through backend, databases, CI/CD development and system integration.

Josh enjoys working in a highly collaborative, agile team environment using technology to solve real world problems and employing a range of skills from design, build, mentorship and leadership.

What brought you to Datch?

Originally drawn in by the prospect of working with voice and AI to improve and enable users in their workplace. Later convinced by the charisma, mindset and great team at Datch.

What’s your favourite thing to do outside of work?

Outside of work and not on the computer you can find me carving the pavement on my electric skateboard, on the hockey turf or playing video games. But most of all hanging out with my lovely wife and daughter.

What is your most memorable accomplishment?

A couple of moments stand out — the first skydiving with a fear of heights and co-founding a startup, building/refining a product and watching the first customers and users having success.

And your favourite movie?

While I like a good movie such as Inception or Interstellar, a series such as Dark, Marchella or Money Heist is more likely to be playing on screen.
