Sterilization at Datun Life — Driven by the desire for cleanliness at every square inch of our clinic
No patient has ever caught, or will ever catch a hospital-transmitted infection at Datun Life.
Dental clinics, just like hospitals, can become open breeding grounds for bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other micro-organisms, which can then affect the health and recovery of any patient adversely, unless aggressively monitored and controlled by the clinic.
Most dental clinics in India today do not follow strict international sterilization protocols to keep their patients safe. Only major hospitals and international treatment centers have the luxury of super-strict sterilization discipline.
But at Datun Life, we are obsessive about maintaining a safe space for our patients — which means we will do everything that major hospitals will do, and possibly more, to prevent unwanted infections.
Environmental & Surface Cleaning
We use a technique called ‘fogging’ to protect our patients against the danger of deadly infections such as HIV, HPV, HCV, H1N1, Polio, and nearly 150 other microorganisms (bacteria, viruses and fungi).
Fogging is a rare practice in most Indian dental clinics, but a regular part of our sterilization strategy at Datun Life.
Instrument Sterilization
At Datun, we use the internationally recognized and recommended standard of B-class autoclaves. Each set of instruments is washed, cleaned, disinfected, passed through an ultrasonic bath, dried, sealed in a pouch, and placed in the autoclave system, which happens to be one of the best in the world.
We store these pouches in a UV chamber until we use it next. This chamber keeps the instruments safe and sterile until they are used the next time.
Ultrasonic Disinfectants
We use specially procured ultrasonic disinfectants to keep our instruments sterile inside the UV chamber.
Broad Spectrum Disinfectants
We use biocompatible broad spectrum disinfectants to clean the clinic in accordance with internationally established standards of sterilization.

Air Purification System
Our clinic uses state-of-the art air purification technology to continuously filter the air inside the clinic against airborne dust particles or microorganisms.
Water Distiller
We have systems in place to provide a continuous supply of distilled water in the clinic.
