In a world defined by time & money, we have decided to pay close attention towards another important aspect that affects every patient’s treatment outcomes — innovation in the field of dental care technology.

Our advanced dental-care technologies:

Datun life emphasizes the need to stay updated with the latest treatment techniques from around the world, in order to provide the least time-consuming, least painful, and safest experiences possible for all our patients. Some of the notable health-tech advancements that we have integrated into our clinics, include:

  • Portable X-Ray Systems & Radiovisiography — Together, they enable a safe treatment environment for children, pregnant women and senior citizens, with up to 55% less radiation as compared to traditional X-Ray systems.
  • Ozone Generators — These enable faster wound healing, cause minimum pain, take just 20 seconds to eliminate most bacteria and viruses, provide maximum germ reduction in order to prevent any infection, reduce the need for too much medication, and using these, treatments can remain antibiotic-free. Treatments that use Ozone, allow patients to recover faster, quicker, and the effects of the treatment are long-lasting.
  • Intra-oral Cameras — We use portable, intra-oral cameras to facilitate a clearer diagnosis. They also ensure that patients have a better visual understanding of exactly what has gone wrong and how we will proceed with the treatment.
  • Audio-Visual Distractors — These are VR-enabled devices that allow us to keep young patients (in the pediatric ward) distracted, while a surgery or oral procedure is being performed.
  • Sterile water dispensing chair — We have imported our dental chairs from some of the world’s best manufacturers. These come pre-equipped with zero TDS, bacteria-free water distillation and dispensing systems, which keep all treatments 100% safe and infection-free.
  • Biomimetic Dental Materials — These mimic the natural elemental constitution of organic matter, and are used as safe, biocompatible alternatives during all our treatments.
  • Self-Adjusted Files (SAF) — This is one of the most advanced tech systems employed during root canal (RCT) procedures. Very few doctors in India have access to SAF technology in their clinics.
  • Rotary Endodontics — This is another extremely advanced form of technology that enables single-sitting root canal treatments (RCTs).

Some of our extensive technological advancements are discussed in detail below:

LASER-powered dental treatments

LASER (Light Amplification by the Simulated Emission of Radiation) is an internationally recognized medical marvel, used in the field of applied precision medicine around the world. In the world of dental care, however, less than 1% of all clinics incorporate any form of laser-driven treatments. At Datun, we use both Hard and Soft-Tissue LASERs to facilitate painless dental procedures.

Hard tissue lasers are used for procedures that involve bone-drilling or surface level tooth surgery. Soft tissue lasers are used in the treatment of diseases of the gums, tongue, or cheeks. The benefits of LASER-assisted surgery include:

  • Dental (and gum) surgeries devoid of bleeding
  • Protection against inflammation and unwanted swelling
  • Maximum conservation of healthy oral tissue
  • Minimum use of high-intensity medicines
  • Minimum timeframe for surgeries
  • High layer of security against infections
  • Minimum pain, accompanied by fast recovery
  • Highest levels of comfort during surgery

Zero-drill dental surgeries (with Air Fluid Abrasion)

Many patients hesitate to opt for much-needed scaling, cleaning, or other dental procedures because they involve the use of a drill. At Datun, we use one of the world’s most advanced air-fluid abrasion systems, that ensures that your teeth don’t even come into contact with any equipment during the procedure. This is a completely drill-free technique that uses highly compressed, pressurized air to ‘abrase’ affected parts of the tooth away, causing no pain whatsoever to the patient. The dislodged particles of the tooth are then removed painlessly using Zero drilling further translates into the least chances of surgical complications and pain in later stages.

Radiovisiography — The world’s most intelligent and accurate dental X-ray system

X-rays are an important part of dental inspections. Be it a decayed tooth, an infected tooth, or a broken tooth, we (dentists) need X-ray imaging of the oral cavity to understand the severity and extent of any dental problem, in order to advise the best way forward. We also need X-rays to evaluate the efficiency of any treatment that a patient has already availed, to understand how the surgery went, to read the recovery timelines and to prescribe all necessary action after a treatment.

X-rays traditionally rely on the use of radiation, and large, archaic systems that make it painful and inconvenient for both patients and clinic staff, not to mention the dangers of close-range radiation exposure.

The globally evolving strategy of radiovisiography provides much-needed relief in this regard, by the use of portable X-ray machines that maintain a 50% reduction in radiation and gamma-ray exposure. This reduction is very useful when treating elderly patients, very young children, and pregnant women.

These machines also generate instant radiology reports, that can be reviewed by our experienced super-specialists in real-time, ensuring that there is no additional delay for our patients.
