If You Think Covid Isn’t A Real Threat, Then Maybe You SHOULDN’T Get Vaccinated

Maybe people who think that Covid is a Democrat-invented scare tactic SHOULD fight back by going maskless and not getting vaccinated

My Columns Urging People To Get Vaccinated

I’ve written several columns, listed below, that are critical of people who refuse to get vaccinated. Those columns’ implied message was:

Hey, don’t be stupid. Get vaccinated!

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — —

The Risk From NOT Being Vaccinated Vs. The Risk From Getting The Vaccine 5,000 to 1.

The Risk of Getting Very Sick from Being UNvaccinated Is about 5,000 Times Greater than the Risk of Getting Very Sick from The Vaccine

A Hospitalized Republican’s Choice To Get COVID Again Rather Than A Vaccination.

Some Trump supporters are so afraid of being vaccinated that they would prefer to get pneumonia

Intelligent People Who Choose To Do Stupid Things Are Stupid People.

Those who choose to believe the lies that COVID is a fake disease have chosen to be stupid people

People Who Refuse To Be Vaccinated Should Lose Their Medical Insurance Coverage For COVID Bills.

If you choose to not to be vaccinated for COVID, shouldn’t your insurance carrier be allowed to exclude COVID from your insurance coverage?

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — —

Not surprisingly, I’ve received some strong criticism for doing that.

Here’s an excerpt from one comment:

ScienceGuy12:

“But it [the problem of unvaccinated people] is self correcting if people just would not interfere.

“We know who is dying.

“We know who is going in for expensive hospitalization that will cost their communities plenty.

“We know this will reduce the number of people claiming voter fraud.

“Why in gods name would we complain about such a process or try to correct it?

“Why, why why?”

The above was one of the more reasoned responses. Here’s another one that is less charitable.

From AllAmericanWalt:

“Your stories urging unvaccinated people to get the shot are typical of what’s wrong with you bleeding-heart liberals. [NOTE: I am NOT a liberal.]

“Yes, these unvaccinated people are fools, but the Universe will take care of them if the rest of us would just stand back and let nature take its course. But, no, you silly liberals want to help them see how wrong they are and convince them to get the vaccine.

“Why don’t you instead help the rest of the human race by letting natural selection do its job and eliminate these idiots, hopefully before the younger ones have had the chance to breed?

“Butt out, meddler!”

This next one expressed a definitely wider, more comprehensive, view of the pandemic.

From Darwin8936:

“On behalf of myself and my organization, Too-Stupid-To-Live.org, I’m respectfully requesting that you withdraw your columns criticizing unvaccinated people for failing to get immunized.

“For years TSTL has been trying to find a way to counteract the left-wing’s efforts to save dumb, foolish, reckless and angry people from the consequences of their own actions and instead to allow natural selection to weed out the incompetents and thus improve the species.

“For some time we’ve been looking for a way to naturally filter the really stupid people out of the population, the way it used to be before the invention of the modern state with its social safety net.

“To this end, a while back we promoted on Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms the meme that humans can fly by flapping their arms in a particular pattern and at a set speed in the hope that the extremely stupid and gullible would decide to visit the nearest cliff or high bridge and give the technique a real-world test.

“Unfortunately, we failed to reach the critical mass of followers necessary for the plan to make a substantial dent in the target population of idiots because the initially-committed individuals self-terminated before the You-Can-Fly meme could reach the bulk of the population of people dumb enough to believe it.

“At the beginning of the pandemic we had hopes that the combination of Covid, Donald Trump, Fox News and the Republican Party would take us a long way to realizing our goal of seeing a material percentage of the stupid and crazy people self-eliminating themselves, but then commentators like you started countering our efforts.

“Thank God very few people read your columns. I hate to think how many of our target audience might have woken up and gotten vaccinated had your writing been more popular.

“On the other hand, since the every governor, U.S. senator, and medical doctor has failed to break through the TSTL’s massive stupidity barrier, what chance would someone like you have?

“On a more positive note, if you would be willing to reverse course on this topic I can offer you a larger journalistic opportunity.

“We at TSTL are in the final stages of a new plan designed to give stupid, foolish, reckless and angry people a new and more effective opportunity to remove themselves from the genetic pool.

“I cannot, of course, reveal the details of how we plan to thin out the herd, but in general terms we have crafted a new conspiracy theory that will be as catnip to the Covid-Is-A-Fake-Disease, Trump-Really-Won-The-Election, The-Country-Is-Run-By-An-Elite-Group-Of-Secret-Democrat-Baby-Rapers believers.

“We call it Operation Dumbo.

“We expect our new conspiracy theory to quickly spread through their ranks and within two years lead to a substantial portion of the criminally stupid and crazy permanently removing themselves from the gene pool without any material impact on people of normal intelligence.

“For the good of the human race, please keep this plan to yourself.”

My Response

Well, since Darwin8936, didn’t give me the details of the TSTL strategy, I don’t feel constrained to keep his email a secret, but in deference to Darwin8936 and Too-Stupid-To-Live.org, I will say this with regard to my previous columns which were intended to convince the maskeless and unvaccinated to wear a mask and get the vaccine:

Maybe I Was Wrong!

If you believe that

  • Covid is a fake disease,
  • The so-called Covid danger was invented by the Democrats as a ploy to elect Joe Biden,
  • Wearing a mask has no beneficial effect on either your health or the health of those around you,
  • Getting one of the Covid vaccines is more dangerous to you than not getting it

then by all means don’t let anyone give you or any of your like-minded friends any of those so-called vaccines.

Who knows what crazy science stuff is in them or what they may do to you.

Have A Big Party To Celebrate Being A Free American

Instead, celebrate your freedom as Americans by hosting one or more “Covid Is A Fraud” parties and make sure that all of your like-minded friends attend.

These parties should be indoors and anyone wearing a mask should be prevented from entering as wearing a mask is a sure sign that they are a Democrat who is trying to infiltrate your gathering.

Show your outrage at claims that Covid-Is-Dangerous by enthusiastically shaking hands, hugging and kissing each other as often and with as much tongue as possible.

And remember, real men and strong women neither want nor need vaccines. Leave them for the sissies and the Democrats.

And, if you do get Covid, here is the advice that one of my readers posted in response to this column:

“Think about it, what could be more liberal/socialist than western medicine using science to make people better?

“Don’t give in to the liberals. It’s just a bad cold.

“Hospitals are the motherships of the vaccine conspiracy.

“Stay home and let Jesus help you fight it off.”

What more could I possibly say about going to a hospital with all those pro-vaccine doctors if you do test positive for Covid? It’s self evident, right?

There, ScienceGuy12, AllAmericanWalt and Darwin8936, are we good now?
