By 2020, the Federal Aviation Administration predicts 7 million drones will be in use in the United States. This translates to a tripling of the American drone fleet in a mere five years.
Naturally, thoughts go to the increasingly valuable transportation and data services that drones can provide, but this won’t come from the number of flying robots in the sky. Rather, their potential will be best leveraged by the coordination of their use in an integrated network.
