Art has never been an afterthought for Desperate ApeWives and the Artist Collaboration program launching this month will expand upon the mission to give a platform to talented artists. The DAW team is uniquely qualified at identifying artistic talent with an impressive background in the art world. DAW holders will get exclusive access to works of emerging and established artists and have the opportunity to build a collection of quality art.

There is a reason the Desperate ApeWives collection featuring the art of the talented Archer McCall has been featured in galleries around the globe. The 10,000 unapologetically female apes in the collection are instantly captivating. It’s evident immediately that this isn’t your typical generative NFT collection. These are art masterpieces showcasing the vast potential of NFTs as a modern art form. The DAW traits shine through the screen and each piece has a distinctive personality that draws collectors in. The art is filled with odes to iconic fashion, popular trends, and inspirational leaders. Each detail was carefully thought out to ensure all 10,000 DAWs were gallery ready.

Creating that je ne sais quoi effect in a PFP project separating the ordinary from extraordinary is not an easy feat but the Desperate ApeWives founders are anything but ordinary.

DAW founder The Gardener knows a thing or two about art with an impressive background in the traditional art world. As a second generation collector and entrepreneur, he has worked with major museums and galleries around the globe and identified countless talented artists. Together with Archer and fashion connoisseur and lawyer The Florist they bring a wealth of experience and talent to the table. They have already helped launch the careers of many successful artists in the traditional art world and wanted to continue that legacy in the NFT space.

Art Basel Miami, December 2021

For each art drop Desperate ApeWives will select five talented artists who will create pieces reflecting their own personal style. They work in varying mediums and have had different journeys to the NFT space but all have one things in common- incredible talent in their respective specialties. Their work will be available to claim for free (+gas) over the Ethereum network to DAW holders.

To ensure editions are limited, five different art pieces will be available each drop for a limited claim window and distributed in tiers based on the number of DAWs held.

The 5 tiers are:

Tier 1: 1 DAW

Tier 2: 2–5 DAWs

Tier 3: 6–10 DAWs

Tier 4: 11–24 DAWs

Tier 5: 25+ DAWs

Each tier will have a unique piece of art available and the launch of our first set of artists is coming later this month.

The five artists featured in the inaugural drop in no particular order are; Nakimushi, Bored Ape Craftsmanship, Mahboubeh, Team Bandaid, and Ariel Putra. Over the coming days we will be putting out interviews with each artist so you can learn more about these incredible individuals so stay tuned!

DAW holders are here for the community but came for the art so we are excited for all the incredible art to come!
