Stop being shit at passwords

Please. Stop using one password for everything, you’re going to pay for it with the photos of your kids being sold on the dark web. Yes. It’s that risky.

Go to https://haveibeenpwned.com to see if your password has been breached in a major hack. (spoiler alert, probably).

If they get your password on one site, the dominos fall as they access all the others… including personal info, hold you to ransom and steal money.

Get a password manager like 1password.com. Get one, get into the habit of using it. I’ve used a few — on Mac 1Password is definitely the best I’ve used. Is it free? Great question! No, absolutely not, and that doesn’t matter at all.

With a password manager you remember 1 password, a strong one, a very strong one, and then you randomly generate passwords for all your websites. A different, tough password for every website, but the password manager completes it for you. You only have 1 password to remember.

Oh but what about on your phone” — of course it has a freaking mobile app

“Oh but I keep all my passwords on a spreadsheet” — that’s just dumb

“That sounds like too much effort” — it’s not, its a simple habit that takes about 3 days to master

Have a look at this list. You may have heard of Linkedin, Adobe, Dropbox, Dominos, Ashley Maddison…. All have had data breaches… sort it out!
